We believe that most families benefit from practical guidance, creative thinking and a trusted professional who helps them redesign their family rather than simply end a relationship.
The Role
The Family Redesign Specialist becomes the family's primary guide throughout their separation journey.
You will facilitate discussions, help parents make informed decisions, document agreements and support the family as they transition into two successful households.
You become a trusted ambassador for the family as they move into their next chapter.
This role combines facilitation, coaching, family dynamics, parenting knowledge, documentation and long-term relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Family transition planning
Guide parents through the practical and emotional decisions involved in separation while helping maintain a respectful working relationship wherever appropriate.
Children's wellbeing
Maintain a strong focus on the best interests of the children by helping parents consider:
developmental needs
schooling
routines
emotional wellbeing
friendships
extended family relationships
extracurricular activities
consistency across both homes.
Parenting arrangements
Work with parents to explore a range of parenting options, including:
equal care
primary care
shared care
flexible arrangements
age-appropriate arrangements
holiday schedules
special occasions
travel arrangements
communication routines.
Rather than promoting one model, help families identify the arrangement that best meets the needs of their children and their new family circumstances.
Communication planning
Assist parents to establish healthy communication practices, including:
communication expectations
methods of communication
response timeframes
discussing important decisions
how children communicate with the other parent while away from their home
introducing new partners
conflict management strategies.
Facilitation
Facilitate respectful discussions between parents from the earliest stages of separation through to future reviews.
Support parents to resolve disagreements before they become major disputes wherever possible.
Parenting Plans
Prepare and maintain clear Parenting Plans that reflect the family's decisions.
Review and update these plans as circumstances change over time.
Long-term family support
Continue supporting families after separation by assisting with:
changing parenting arrangements
travel requests
schooling decisions
relocation discussions
developmental changes
new family circumstances
emerging challenges.
Working with children
Where appropriate, meet with children to understand their experiences and perspectives.
Engage with teachers, counsellors, psychologists and other support professionals when consent has been provided and it is in the child's best interests.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries throughout.
Documentation
Maintain accurate, objective and well-organised records of meetings, decisions, action plans and Parenting Plans.
Excellent written communication is essential.

Training Provided
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training in:
